AG Stoneworks is an evolution of our parent company Affordable Granite. Affordable Granite originally started as a no frills, budget option, cutting out the middleman ; the first of its kind to deal direct with the consumer.

Over the years, however, the industry has changed and our consistent commitment to customer service, investment in the latest machinery and quality of installation, has meant that the company’s reputation has outgrown this name.

Affordable Granite still trades and will continue to offer good quality installation with affordable and competitive pricing, but AG Stoneworks aims to collaborate with Interior Designers and design- led kitchen showrooms where more bespoke design options and premium materials are required.

Designers & Developers

Our team

Our team – in the office, in the workshop and on the vans – are all employees of the company: we don’t subcontract our templating or fitting. We have an enviable pool of experience and a low staff turnover: most employees have been with us over 10 years. Our Sales and Business manager has a background in kitchen design and has been with us since the launch of Affordable Granite in 2003.

Our Managing Director bought Affordable Granite in 2010. Although the basic philosophy of the company remains the same, the years since Andy’s arrival have seen a transformation at many levels. The launch of the AG Stoneworks brand is the culmination of his investment into the best machinery, expertise and customer experience. As one of the founders of the Worktop Fabricators Federation he is passionate about standards of health and safety and best practice.

OUR WORK

What we do is complicated. Our team needs to be close knit with a high level of internal collaboration and communication. As we are all based at the same site in Charlwood, Surrey, intricate design elements can be discussed between the sales staff, the templators, the workshop manager, and the operators of saws, CNC and waterjet, throughout the process. This also means that the client themselves can be involved in decisions on the use of a natural stone slab in their kitchen: we frequently host visiting customers who would like to see how the template “works” on their particular slabs. AG Stoneworks offers the best in customer experience from beginning to end.

Our Sales team has a combined experience of over 56 years in the stone industry – and even more in kitchens. We understand stone and how it can transform a home.

We are not tied to any particular wholesaler, brand manufacturer or importer of stone: our advice is impartial. Our commitment is to find the very best materials for your project.
