In recent years quartz and mineral reconstituted stones have overtaken most natural stones in popularity due to wide range of options, consistency, and extremely low porosity.

The Minerals in reconstituted stones can have all the impurities removed to make pure white and coloured options that are not available in natural stones. Current trends to marble-look decors have served to push their popularity further as a lower maintenance alternative to real marble. Quartz and reconstituted stones are not as suitable for outside use, extreme heat, and exposure to the elements.
